Here, we have a film produced by the Ukrainian Institute of America, which has been promoting Ukrainian culture and democratic values for 75 years. The film director, Oksana Karpovych, was also fundamental in creating a profound and moving film. She explores ordinary people’s everyday lives and oral histories and how state politics influence the communities she documents.
