Andy Cohen’s Corner Bin in Hudson Square

Welcome to Andy Cohen’s Corner – Hudson Square’s Most Fabulous Trash Bin

On January 6th, Hudson Square rolled out the red carpet (literally) for one of its most beloved longtime neighbors: Andy Cohen. After 16 years of calling our neighborhood home, it was time to make things official — with a touch of Hudson Square flair.

Since BIDs aren’t permitted to rename streets, we took a creative approach worthy of the host of Watch What Happens Live: we designed a Bigbelly in Andy’s honor.

Say hello to Andy Cohen’s Corner – our newest public art moment meets neighborhood celebration, now installed at the corner of Hudson and Charlton Streets. One side boldly announces “Andy Cohen’s Corner” and the other? A cheeky nod to where it all happens: “Watch What Happens Live on this Corner.”

To commemorate the occasion, we threw a proper Hudson Square-style unveiling. Andy walked the red carpet, cut the ribbon, received a custom key to Hudson Square “that opens absolutely nothing,” and accepted a proclamation from the Manhattan Borough President declaring the day in his name.

The Bigbelly graphic was designed by Six+Oneinstalled by JCM Services, and supported by many who helped bring this joyful idea to life in true Hudson Square fashion.

Hudson Square is a place where creativity thrives: storytelling, media, and personality are woven into the neighborhood’s DNA. Andy Cohen represents all of that and more, and we’re thrilled to have a corner of the neighborhood that celebrates his presence here.

So next time you’re on Hudson Street, snap a selfie at Andy Cohen’s Corner, and remember, even a trash bin can be fabulous!
